Grief Support for Children
Grief support and counseling is available for children of all ages and is tailored to their specific needs. In addition, our new children’s center offers the perfect environment to encourage children. Bereavement staff utilize a variety of supportive methods including art, music, and play to assist children in expressing themselves when words are hard to find.
Kids' Grief Camp
When children experience the death of a significant person in their life, they need help dealing with the strong emotions of grief and loss. HMC The Robertson Bereavement Center provides a safe and fun approach to this process through their annual Kids' Grief Camp. This unique and innovative day camp offers all the fun of a typical summer camp coupled with group activities to help campers understand the grief process. Through music, art, and play, children come together to learn new ways of dealing with their grief while meeting other children and families who are experiencing similar losses.
